I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED TO MOVE and have been drawn to athletics ever since I was a little girl! I have always been a runner and love to find the limits of my body in any sport that I do. I have found that Pilates helps me maintain my athleticism, which allows me to participate in Ultrarunning events, mountain biking, and to teach my clients every day! I started Pilates in 2001 and knew that teaching would allow me to share the gift of what Pilates can do for your body and mind. I began my certification program in 2007 with Romana's  Pilates and was certified in the Classical method.

Julie studied STOTT PILATES in order to transform her mind and body. She is a full-time dog mom from California. She is devoting her free time to teaching Pilates. Julie enjoys the challenge of teaching and the opportunity it provides her to develop motivating workout sessions that suit the individual needs of her clients. Julie is a friendly, compassionate, and diligent instructor always seeking to help everyone she comes in contact with to reach his or her full potential. She is working to complete her Stott certification in the spring of 2021. Julie is certified in Total Barre and TRX Suspension Training.

Alana DuFresne

Alana DuFresne, mom to Aspen, is a Pilates Barre instructor. A ballet dancer since age 3, Barre was a natural transition as an adult. She was a competitive dancer and taught preschoolers tap and ballet. Alana's Barre classes are a wonderful mix of strengthening, stretching and cardio. Working the small muscles is so important and Barre concentrates on the small muscle movement. Sashay up to the barre on Tuesdays and Thursdays to have some fun!!

My name is Kathy McDowell and I was born and raised in Southern California.  Being active and healthy has always been an important part of my daily life. My journey began in secondary school when I became an avid dancer and track runner. This transformed into running, playing soccer, and gym classes as an adult. I felt as though there was something missing in my regular exercise regimen.  A friend encouraged me to try reformer Pilates, and goodness, I wish I had discovered Pilates sooner.  I learned that Pilates is a great form of exercise focused on a whole-body approach, connecting one's mind and body.  Not only did I continue to be physically fit, I bridged the gap while improving my posture, core, and back. I have never felt as strong and connected with my body like I do now. Pilates became a passion that I knew I needed to share with others. Because of that, I became a certified Pilates Instructor. Now I can show people what a difference Pilates can make in their lives. As an instructor, I encourage my clients to practice perfect Pilates using breath and form, while giving each client a tailored, personalized experience. Pilates is not just an exercise, it is a way of life!

Shannon Megroz

Shannon began her Pilates training in Los Angeles, California under the Marie-Jose method.  She worked in a physical therapy environment under the direction of several therapists who incorporated Pilates into their clients rehabilitation plan. For 7 years she worked as a private instructor in a studio in downtown Laguna Beach, CA where she continued her education with multiple specializations. After a hiatus from the practice due to a family illness Shannon is dipping her toes back into the Pilates pool! She contributes internet content and online mat classes to reach a broad spectrum.

Anne Spillane

Anne Spillane is an ISSA certified Personal Fitness Trainer, and Senior Fitness Specialist with over 20 years of expertise in teaching functional strength training to all populations.  Anne is an avid runner and triathlete having competed in seven ironman races and various distance running races and adventure challenges.   Anne was also a competitive springboard diver at the University of Virginia where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance.
